WiMax Myanmar Announces No Setup Fee For Internet in Myanmar

From August 2nd to 8th, WiMax internet co-sponsored by Red Link Communications Company Ltd, will not require any set up fees, announced from company. There will be a different plans and sell with cheap price for broadband equipment. Public can buy from Junction Mawtin, Pearl Condo, BAK IT Mall and Junction Square market places. Previously, equipment sold with 450,000kyats but now with 50% discount cost only 230,000. Additionally, if you buy 10X3G prepaid card you will get 10X1GB prepaid card.

Even in world poorest countries like Myanmar, 100,000kyats mean alot to average standard living people which of course equals to over 100USD. Some people make a living with a few kyats where their income is lower than 100,000kyats per month excluding living expenses. In my opinion, 450,000kyats previously set up was more than a lot of money and also this time 230,000kyats is more than expected. Kindly please get some visit to other Asian country like Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc... I understand that we cannot compare to those countries with Myanmar but we should see the condition of the country. As for 450,000kyats almost equals to USD500 for a year subscription and you only get 1GB - 3GB speed at most is 4GB. Let me distingush the speed gap and prices with Singapore as for instance.

For example 4G means you won't never get 4GB download speed and upload speed. Nobody is fool enough to give you that much speed. 4GB will only gives you >100kbps dl speed and <90kbp ul speed. In Singapore 100GB plan cost 23,000 per month with is usable much more than you imagine. With more than 2mbps dl speed and 500kbps ul speed, you can do whatever you want to and moreover the router is free and set up only cost you 15,000 in Myanmar kyat. The WiMax set by Myanmar is super expensive than average people imagine. If you are a boss daughter or son you won't consider this at all. But see this, there are more than 50mil people in Myanmar, average 15mil standard living, 5mil rich family, 10mil buy this broadband subscription cost 230,000kyats, 10milX230,000kyats will have 2,300,000mil in total equals USD2328mil in total.

My suggestion is buy with knowledge, don't buy with wanting to use and it is totally useless and super slow. If you are an experienced IT Professional you won't consider this at all but if you are an enthusiastic and you have internet knowledge only you might end up buying. So think think think before you buy, 230,000kyats means a lot to you in your future.

This message is also intended for boss's daughter and sons, and those with high income like 500,000kyats per month.
